The FIRST website dedicated to all brands of high performance electric cars.
For many years, we have enjoyed marketing investment grade collector and performance cars to customers in the USA, and around the world. We are passionate about maintaining these historic artifacts, and share that passion with like minded customers who appreciate the quality of world class vehicles.
While museum-quality, fossil fuel collector cars will continue to be an integral part of our business now and in the future, we have expanded our selection of performance brands and products to include plug-in hybrids and pure electric vehicles ("EV´s."). Plug-In Motorwerks is devoted exclusively to that marketplace.
Creature comforts and ergonomic finesse, in cars from companies like Ford, Nissan and GM are accelerating EV´s into the mainstream. Technological progress has reached critical mass, and supercar performance is now available in an EV, powered by clean, pollution-free electricity
Not too long ago, electric cars were nothing more than glorified golf carts.
Today, with a range of over 200 miles, acceleration from 0-60 m.p.h. in less than 4 seconds, and top speeds in excess of 130 m.p.h., performance plug-in electrics like the Tesla and Fisker roadsters are truesupercars, by almost any measure. High performance, 200 mile plus range, great styling, and ergonomics in a pollution-free, plug-in electric is available now.
Current estimates for EV sales range from three to five million by the year 2015. As they play a greater roll in our daily lives, and internal combustion engines become increasingly more expensive to operate, EV´s will become ubiquitous, ultimately replacing the majority of petroleum powered vehicles. Manufacturers know you don't want to lose anything in the transition.
Take a look at our website, and the ever expanding world of plug-in performance cars. If you're not familiar with them, you'll be amazed at how far they have come in a relatively short time. With the pace of technology accelerating, we look for even faster and more efficient plug-in electrics in the near future.
